The elegant Address Boulevard is challenging the status quo. From their unique restaurant set out like an upscale apartment where you can dine in different rooms to their communal Iftar concept, this hotel bucks the trend.
Their #ramadanboulevard iftar is an intimate affair. The focal point of the room is a lavish banquet table that seats just 50. When you dine here for iftar, you’ll join other guests at the communal table to share in the spirit of Ramadan. (Though if you book a group of 6-8, you’ll have the option to dine at one of a few individual tables.)
The room is decorated in hues of ivory and gold, with gold-rimmed plates and gold-plated cutlery. Fresh flowers grace the tables and live oud music adds to the ambiance.
Here, there is no buffet: the food is placed on the table family-style. Cold mezze, breads and salads are dotted around the table on arrival.
Hot mains included the most tender and flavourful lamb chops, lamb kebabs, grilled prawns, butter chicken, mutton stew, steamed veggies and pilau rice. You can help yourself or the waiters will serve you if you wish.
Desserts are on display at a separate table for you to help yourself with delicious umm ali, macarons, baklava, profiteroles and other desserts on offer. (The minaret isn’t edible!)
Verdict: A unique iftar experience for AED 250 per person. Perfect if you’re sick of the same old, same old for Ramadan.
Note to self: Dibs on the lamb chops!
