Behemoth burgers and super-sized shakes at Black Tap, Jumeirah Al Naseem Hotel

Dear Diary,

Black Tap is perhaps Dubai’s most Instagrammable restaurant at the moment with those gluttonous, candy-laden milkshake monstrosities and shiny, grease-dripping burgers.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock or are not in the slightest way food-inclined, you’ll have heard that this NYC restaurant, run by Michelin-starred chef, Joe Isidori, has made its way to Dubai.

Made my way back for the second time this week and did an exact repeat of my first order – always a good sign! I rolled out of there afterwards, but the point is that I was not just several pounds heavier but also gluttonously happy. Spicy Korean BBQ wings, Texan burger and Sweet n’ Salty freakshake – check, check, check!

Granted, it’s on the pricier side with a big fat burger in the AED 80-90 range and exorbitant candified milkshakes at AED 65 a pop. But worth it? Definitely. Plus stay tuned for the JBR branch coming soon!

Verdict: Super yummy burgers and milkshakes. Totally worth the calories AND the expense (AND the long wait if you go on the weekend!) Plus the extra likes I’ll get on my Instagram posts don’t hurt either! 😊

Note to self:
It’s okay not to finish a plate of wings, a burger and a milkshake, as long as you have made a solid effort and have the photos to show for it, right?
